Playing and accounts
Solo games run on your device and work offline. We save your display name, preferences, personal game totals, card designs, and cached purchase status on your device. When connected, Android, iOS, and the web game create a Firebase guest account. Email/password, Google sign-in, or Sign in with Apple on iOS is required to play online, add friends, or invite players. You can link a sign-in account to restore your Shuffle Den profile across devices. Firebase Authentication processes your account identifier and, if you choose Google or Apple sign-in, your account details such as email address. Apple users may choose Hide My Email. Email account passwords and password-reset requests are handled by Firebase Authentication; passwords are not stored in game profiles. We use Cloud Firestore to store your game preferences, personal totals, and server-recorded multiplayer results. Personal totals include unverified solo play and are not a competitive leaderboard. Paid access remains subject to store verification and is not granted by client-written profile data. On sign-in, we assign a random display name and unique username if you do not already have them. You can change both and choose a built-in avatar in your profile. We do not use your email address to generate public usernames. Your display name, chosen avatar, and unique username can be viewed by signed-in players who know your username, share a friendship or invitation with you, or view the leaderboard. Usernames are case-insensitive and can be changed. Friend requests, friendships, and room invitations are stored using permanent account IDs, so name changes preserve these relationships. Request and invitation records are visible only to the accounts involved. Invitations expire after five minutes; expired records may remain until dismissed, replaced, cleaned up, or the account is deleted. Online game totals and wins are recorded by the server under your account ID. Global leaderboards show your display name, username, avatar, completed online games, and wins. Offline personal totals, email addresses, account IDs, and private hands are not included in rankings. Online games use a server hosted on Google Cloud. Players at your table can see your display name, public moves, and public scores. Your private hand is sent only to your own connection. Active tables are kept in server memory and may end when the server restarts. Shared invitation links contain the table code; share them only with people you want at your table.
Optional analytics and notifications
Gameplay analytics are off until you enable "Usage analytics". With your permission, Firebase Analytics records game type, solo or online mode, and game start/completion/result events. Our custom events do not include player names, email addresses, room codes, card hands, or purchase tokens. The SDK also processes its standard device/app information and analytics installation identifiers. We disable advertising storage and advertising-personalization consent for Analytics. You can turn analytics off in Settings and reset the device's analytics identifier through that control. Table notifications are optional. If enabled, Firebase Cloud Messaging processes a registration token associated with your private account and installation. The server uses it for table invitations, table-ready alerts, and tests you request. Notifications may appear on a lock screen and expire after two minutes. Turning notifications off removes this device's server registration when connected. Your device's notification settings can block alerts immediately. iOS notifications use Apple's Push Notification service through Firebase. Browser push is not enabled.
Ads, purchases, and service logs
Shuffle Den uses Google Mobile Ads. Release builds on iOS use production ad units; debug builds and Android builds without production ad units use Google's test ads. Google Mobile Ads may process device identifiers, IP addresses, interactions, and diagnostics under Google's privacy policy and the consent choices presented in the app. On iOS, the app asks for tracking permission before initializing ads. Declining tracking does not prevent play, and ads can still be shown without access to Apple's advertising identifier. Ad-free access disables ads. Store billing processes purchases and restores; payment-card details are handled by Google Play or Apple, not by Shuffle Den. Google Cloud receives network information needed to operate the service, including IP addresses and request metadata. Cloud request logs use the configured 30-day retention. Administrative audit logs may be retained for 400 days. Do not put private information in your display name or room messages.
Your choices and deletion
Use Settings to control analytics and notifications or sign out. Open Settings → Delete Account. Deletion removes this game's cloud profile, username reservation, friendships, requests, invitations, device registrations, personal totals, multiplayer history, and leaderboard entries. A minimal account deletion marker prevents stale devices from restoring that data. Explicitly selecting the sign-in account again can create a new Shuffle Den profile. Seto's Firebase sign-in identity is shared with other Seto apps, including Board Box. Deleting Shuffle Den data does not delete that shared sign-in identity or data belonging to another app. Store purchases remain managed by the original store. To request deletion by email, contact bhuwanenoch@gmail.com with the subject "Shuffle Den data deletion". We may ask you to verify ownership of the account. Do not email passwords, sign-in tokens, or payment-card details. Cloud profile data is kept while you use the account until you request deletion. Provider logs, backups, and analytics may remain subject to their retention rules. Uninstalling the app removes local data according to your device's backup settings; it does not itself submit a cloud-data deletion request.
Service providers and changes
Google provides hosting, authentication, database, analytics, notifications, and advertising services. These services may process data outside your country. We do not sell your profile data. See Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy and Firebase privacy information at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy. We will update this page when the app's data practices change. The date above identifies the current policy. Contact bhuwanenoch@gmail.com with questions or privacy requests.
Saved games and table reactions
Solo games are saved on your device after each move so you can resume after leaving or closing the app. Solo saved hands are not sent to Firebase. Online resume markers on your device contain only your account ID and room code. For online games, the server stores a private match checkpoint in Google Firestore, including the deal, accepted moves, seats, account references, scores and CPU takeover status. This lets an online table recover after a server restart without exposing another player's cards. Checkpoints are accessible only to the game server. They are removed when the table closes or its reconnect window expires; after an outage, expired checkpoints are cleaned up when the service returns. When everyone disconnects, the reconnect window is up to 10 minutes. Server recovery can briefly delay reconnecting while control transfers to the new process. Online human turns allow 15 seconds for each action before the server chooses a legal move. After three consecutive missed moves, a CPU covers that seat until the player takes it back. CPU turns do not use this countdown. An explicit departure from an unfinished online match records a loss immediately; closing the app or temporarily returning to the lobby does not itself forfeit. Verified results stay with your game account until you delete its data. Temporary match data needed to finish a table may remain until that table closes. Table messages, friendly taunts, and emoji are selected from fixed presets. Other players at your table can see your display name and the chosen reaction. These reactions are delivered live, disappear after a few seconds, and are not saved to a chat history. You can mute opponents' reactions. There is no free-text table chat.
